What does onboarding look like?
We want to get you saving as quickly as possible. We offer installation support, and your dedicated Customer Success Manager will then guide you through the SmartPortal setup and provide driver training materials to help your fleet get the most from the system. How does the product integrate with other systems?
Idle Smart works well with your existing systems, including telematics, bunk heaters, eAPUs, and more. We do not cut any wires or rip out existing systems to install, so we are a low-risk installation that won’t violate any warranties or harm your winning workflow.

Is there a warranty for my system or its parts?
Yes, we have a lifetime parts warranty for our subscription customers. If a part breaks, we will send you a new one free of charge. Contact support@idlesmart.com or call 913-744-4357. Live agents are available to talk to you between 9 am -5 pm Central, Monday-Friday.
Does Idle Smart work with all types of vehicles?
Idle Smart works with all heavy-duty trucks made after 2017, regardless of make, transmission, or engine.

Will the installation void my truck’s warranty?
Absolutely not. No wires are cut, and no engine parts (starter, alternator, etc.) are affected by the installation.
Can my drivers change Idle Smart’s settings on their own?
Idle Smart is designed to maintain fleet-level consistency, so most settings are protected by a password set by your fleet. However, fleets can choose to allow drivers to adjust the temperature threshold within a certain range, offering flexibility for comfort while still keeping the system optimized for performance and fuel savings.
Will stopping and starting the engine wear out my starter?
Idle Smart has had over 10 million successful starts so far, none of which have resulted in damaged starters.
